Since 1992, the Schloss Trebnitz Education and Meeting Centre Association has been committed to developing Schloss Trebnitz into a vibrant place for education and encounters. The association is responsible for the restoration, preservation, and management of the castle and its auxiliary buildings – while at the same time filling it with life, exchange, and new ideas.

Our aim
With a wide range of educational programs and international encounters, we create spaces where children, young people, and adults can learn from one another and grow together. We promote self-determination, social responsibility, and critical thinking – always with the aim of encouraging people to actively and reflectively shape their own environment.
Our projects combine education, intercultural exchange, and experiential learning approaches. The focus is not only on knowledge, but above all on experiences, perspectives, and joint action.
We also set impulses in youth and adult education as well as in vocational training and professional development: for greater participation, creativity, and engagement in society and working life.
Statutes and quality
Our work is based on clear statutes and is guided by the quality standards of the Association of Youth Education Centres of the State of Brandenburg. These standards ensure the content-related and pedagogical quality of our educational programs.
Members and network
Our association is deeply rooted in the region and internationally connected. Our members come from Trebnitz, Müncheberg, the surrounding area, Poland, and Berlin. At the same time, we work closely with institutional partners, including the State of Brandenburg, the district of Märkisch-Oderland, the Marshal's Office of the Greater Poland Voivodeship, the district of Gorzów, the town of Müncheberg, and the town of Seelow. These partnerships shape our work and make Schloss Trebnitz a place of German-Polish and European exchange.
Since 2011, Schloss Trebnitz has served as the official educational institution of the Berlin-Brandenburg Rural Youth Association (Berlin-Brandenburgische Landjugend e. V.).
History
The founding of the association in 1992 marked the beginning of a continuous development: Schloss Trebnitz was gradually transformed into an international center for education and exchange. At the same time, the establishment of the association laid the foundation for revitalizing the historic castle and developing it into an open place for youth exchanges and educational work. In the years that followed, the estate underwent extensive restoration and was continuously developed. Even during the renovation phase, the first international projects took place. To this day, the association combines the preservation of a historic site with open, forward-looking educational work.
