At this point, we present some of our special projects. They go beyond individual events and often include several modules or event series. Others have been accompanying us for many years and have become established components of our work.
“Stopover Forced Labour – Memorial Site Trebnitz Station”
September 2025 to June 2026
In consultation with regional remembrance initiatives, Schloss Trebnitz developed the project “Stopover Forced Labour. Memorial Site Trebnitz Station.” The focus is on engaging with the history of Nazi forced labour in the village of Trebnitz and in rural Brandenburg.
German-Polish Cultural Project “Oder/Brüche”
June 2025 to June 2026
Children and young people from Germany and Poland explore the cultural heritage of the Oder region – from the upheavals around 1945 to present-day sites of remembrance in the Oderbruch and Warthebruch. Selected locations are explored from youth perspectives and translated into digital and creative formats. In this way, a multi-voiced perspective on the region emerges as a shared space of memory.
International inclusive junior café “Coffee for Happiness / Kawa na szczęście”
Since 2013
The project combines encounter, participation, and regional engagement. Since 2013, young people from Germany and Poland have jointly run the café as a junior enterprise – offering homemade cake, coffee, and plenty of space for exchange in the historic carriage house (Remise) at Schloss Trebnitz.
