Since January 2026, Schloss Trebnitz has been the Coordinating and Competence Center for the “Partnership for Democracy” in the district of Märkisch-Oderland. The office supports initiatives, associations, and engaged individuals in developing project ideas related to democracy, diversity, and social cohesion.
What do we offer and for whom?
In close coordination with the district, represented by the lead Youth Welfare Office in Strausberg, and the regional alliance “Bündnis-Gemeinsam-Aktiv,” we are the first point of contact for enquiries about project ideas related to democracy, diversity, and strengthening social cohesion in the district of Märkisch-Oderland.
The target groups of the partnership are diverse. In principle, everyone who would like to engage with these topics in the district is addressed. Anyone is warmly invited to contribute their own ideas and implement them in the region in the form of a project.
Topics and key areas
In principle, all project ideas are welcome that align with the objectives of the federal programme “Live Democracy!” and contribute to promoting democracy, shaping diversity, and preventing extremism.
As additional thematic guidance, the current action goals and funding priorities of the “Partnership for Democracy” in the district of Märkisch-Oderland also serve as orientation.
From idea to successful project funding – we support you!
Do you have an idea, would you like to get involved, or do you simply have a question?
Please feel free to call us or send an email. We are happy to advise you on opportunities in the district or support you with the application process and questions regarding project implementation.
We can also arrange a in-person meeting.
We look forward to your ideas and to exchanging with you!
Application for project funding
In the service portal of the district of Märkisch-Oderland you will find, in addition to various information materials, also the application forms for individual measures that can be funded through the “Partnership for Democracy”.
