The Educational and Meeting Centre Schloss Trebnitz e. V. has been coordinating, on behalf of the State of Brandenburg, cooperation with the Wielkopolskie Voivodeship since 2016 in the areas of civil society, culture, and administration. Since 2026, this mandate has, for the first time, included all five Polish partner regions of Brandenburg. This creates new opportunities for cross-border exchange, joint projects, and sustainable cooperation between partners in Germany and Poland.
Development
The Educational and Meeting Centre Schloss Trebnitz e. V. has been responsible since summer 2016 for building and maintaining contacts between Brandenburg and the Wielkopolskie (Greater Poland) region in the fields of civil society, culture, and public administration. The association facilitates contacts, initiates cooperation, and serves as a point of contact for information exchange between both regions.
At the end of 2025, the mandate as partnership officer was extended for the fourth time by the Ministry of Finance and for Europe of the State of Brandenburg for a further three years. For the first time, this mandate now includes all five Polish partner regions of Brandenburg: Lubusz, West Pomerania, Lower Silesia, Greater Poland, and Mazovia (Warsaw). This ensures that cross-border mediation and exchange activities can be continued reliably and further expanded in the coming years.
Our contribution
Through numerous events, the association makes an important contribution to deepening civil society and cultural cooperation between Brandenburg and its partner regions. Established partners are actively involved, while new actors have also been successfully engaged.
Interested parties are warmly invited to contact the coordinator and co-coordinator.
