Our kitchen in transition
Our kitchen at Schloss Trebnitz reflects a modern, sustainable, and regionally rooted country-style cuisine. Our diet is increasingly based on the Planetary Health Diet: less sugar and meat, and more vegetables, fruit, whole grains, and legumes.
Freshly cooked – daily and varied
Every day, our kitchen team prepares fresh and varied meals. Up to four times a week, vegetarian and/or vegan dishes are the focus. We understand food not only as catering, but also as part of our educational mission: healthy eating, shared well-being, and a conscious approach to regional and sustainable products are an integral part of our work. In this way, our kitchen accompanies everyday life at the educational centre in a responsible and contemporary manner.
What we offer
Our kitchen offers:
vegetarian
vegan
gluten-free
We kindly ask for your understanding that, due to the wide variety of dietary requirements, we are not able to accommodate all individual preferences. In cases of more serious dietary restrictions, please contact us and we will find a solution.
Regionality & Sustainability
At the centre of our approach is a clear principle: good food starts with good ingredients. That is why we rely on products from organic farming and from regional producers.
Our cooperation partners
- Beerfelder Hof (lentils, beef, potatoes, pumpkin, beetroot)
- Biolandhof Zielke (seasonal vegetables, salads, herbs, root vegetables)
- Bioland Birkscher Biohof (eggs)
- Bio-Hof Albers (chickpeas, beluga lentils)
Responsible handling of food is very important to us. We actively work against food waste and ensure resource-efficient processing of all ingredients.
