Key Activity Cultural Education

Trebnitz Castle offers a large variety of different topics and forms of events within its framework of international and intercultural exchange projects and youth encounters. However, the key activity of the educational institution since its foundation has been cultural work. Specific workshops of fine and performing arts are held to help young people discover their creativity in, amongst others, theatre, photography, film, circus, dance, and writing workshops. Imparting skills in a relaxed and playful manner unveils unforeseen abilities in the participants which often leads directly to new perspectives.

In addition to projects with international character, Trebnitz Castle also represents the expansion of the region’s cultural offers, e.g. with concerts, exhibitions or discussion forums.

Co-operation with the Foundation ‘Children need Music’
Encouraging children to engage with music not only serves their musical talents, but also boosts their personal character, creativity, joy for learning and also their social skills. For the well-known song writer and composer Rolf Zuckowski it is especially important to give children from disadvantaged social backgrounds the opportunity to actively make and experience music.
